Police are on the scene of a road fatality along the Adams section of the ABC Highway between the Henry Forde Roundabout and the Bannatyne Road junction.
The accident, which involved a car and a truck, occurred around 3:30 p.m.
Police say it has been reported that the vehicles were travelling in opposite directions when a collision occurred.
The driver of the car, believed to be in his 40’s, died on the spot. He was the only occupant of the vehicle.
The truck ran off the road and overturned, and the driver escaped with slight injuries.
Investigations are ongoing.
