Barbados defeated Indonesia three-one in their Davis Cup World Group Two, Round one Tie at the National Tennis Centre in Wildey today.
With the Tie level at 1-all after yesterday’s singles action, Barbados returned today to win the doubles and then sealed victory in the first reverse singles match.
Needing just to win one of the planned reverse singles matches, Barbados’ number one player Darian King brushed aside Justin Barki in straight sets 6-2, 6-4 in a match that lasted one hour and five minutes.
29 year old King, who has battled back from a wrist injury, has played 29 encounters for Barbados in the Davis Cup and has won 30 of 41 singles match-ups.
