Barbados’ marine assets are expected to be on full display tomorrow afternoon.
This as the Barbados Defence Force, in collaboration with the National Cultural Foundation, hosts the National Blue Economy Flotilla which is being held in recognition of the importance of the blue economy and maritime sector to the island.
Officials say the event will feature assets from the Barbados Coast Guard, the Royal Barbados Police Force Marine Unit, fishing vessels, small water craft, jet skis, pleasure crafts, yachts, wind-sail vessels and water sports operators.
Organisers say the Flotilla will kick off with a formation of vessels at the Shallow Draught following the arrival of Governor General Dame Sandra Mason and Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley, and a cultural display.
