More COVID-19 vaccines coming to the Caribbean

More COVID-19 vaccines are coming to CARICOM member states from Africa.

This from Special Envoy for the African Union, Strive Masiyiwa, as he updated the Africa-CARICOM Summit on the latest with the vaccines manufactured on the continent.

He told the forum South Africa’s President Cyril Ramaphosa spearheaded the drive to get permission for an African company to manufacture the one shot Johnson and Johnson vaccine for use as part of the Medical Supplies Platform.

He says CARICOM countries which have come onboard have access to the 400 million doses manufactured.
