Cricket West Indies’ ability to pay professional cricketers across the various franchises continues to be a challenge.
That’s the word from CEO of Cricket West Indies Johnny Grave.
He was speaking to CBC Sports against the backdrop of last year’s temporary 50% salary cut and on funding across the entire regional cricket system, due to the financial crunch caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
That lasted for six months, then full pay was reinstated in January this year.
