Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley has addressed the United Nations General Assembly, calling for world leaders to take action to forge a new charter addressing many of the ills of the 21st century. In her speech, Ms. Mottley asked the leaders who would be willing to stand to remedy issues such as COVID-19, inequity with vaccine distribution and climate change.
Prime Minister Mottley also stressed the need for global moral strategic leadership and decisive action on the way forward.
