The Barbados Association of Principals of Public Secondary Schools (BAPPSS) says it will support any effort made to meet the needs of students who have been disadvantaged by the amount of time they spent out of school due to COVID-19.
President, Stephen Jackman says this could include introducing lower first forms as suggested by the Government, or allowing for more time at the latter end, when the student reaches senior school.
Mr. Jackman, who is also Principal of Frederick Smith Secondary, says in addition to the time lost, the speed with which devices were sourced and their capacity, proved challenging as well.
Mr. Jackman also explained exactly how the lower first forms would work.
