Government through a partnership with the private sector, will be embarking on a New Mill and Pave Road Repair Programme as it addresses concerns over the state of the island’s roads.
Prime Minister, Mia Amor Mottley in her Address to the Nation stressed that the conditions of roads remain a concern. The Prime Minister also wants water woes to be a thing of the past. As she outlined plans to remedy present challenges Barbadians were also reminded of their personal responsibility to conserve water.
The Prime Minister also provided updates on developments surrounding the tourism and hospitality sector and meetings with the Barbados Workers Union.
