Even though the sexual harassment bill has not been proclaimed, the island's main representative body of employers is ensuring its members are prepared and understand the legislation.
Tuesday afternoon, the Barbados Employers Confederation held a forum entitled, 'Sexual Harassment in the Workplace', at its Braemar Court offices.
Labour management advisor, Melony James says sexual harassment in the workplace can be erased, without affecting friendships.
She also believes businesses should consider implementing sexual harassment policies, at their organisations.
Ms James also warns sexual harassment can become a health and safety issue.
