Rihanna was overcome with emotion as she attended the funeral of her cousin Tavon Kaiseen Alleyne who was gunned down at the age of 21 in Barbados.
The 29-year-old superstar singer was seen wiping away tears at the celebration of life in Barbados on Tuesday.
No doubt it was an emotional event as dozens of her friends and family were in attendance to pay their respects to the young man.
It seemed like the family close to Alleyne wore white at the event as Rihanna was dressed in the light color from head to toe.
Rihanna wore a sheer white midi dress along with a pair of white low-top Puma shoes with 'RF' emblazoned in gold on the side for her real name Robyn Fenty.
She accessorized with a pair of white vintage cateye shades along with a large diamond necklace.
The Diamonds hitmaker also sported multiple gold bangles and carried along a white designer bag featuring a jeweled out strap.
Her raven-colored tresses were worn down flowing over her shoulders as her fringe ended just above her eyes.
She contrasted her light outfit with dark make-up including a swipe of black lip and smokey eye.
Two weeks ago Rihanna took to Instagram to pay tribute to her younger cousin just hours after they had spent Christmas Day Together.
'RIP cousin... can't believe it was just last night that I held you in my arms!' the heartbroken Wild Thoughts singer wrote to her 59million Instagram followers.
'Never thought that would be the last time I felt the warmth in your body!!! Love you always man!'
Tavon Kaiseen Alleyne was walking through the Eden Lodge area of St Michael's on the holiday island when a gunman shot him several times at about 7pm on December 26.
The eight-time Grammy award winner added the hashtag, '#endgunviolence,' at the end of the post.
In early December, Barbados Police said there had been a significant increase in gun-related crimes on the island compared to 2016. Of the 28 murders committed so far this year, 22 were gun-related, figures revealed.
According to Nation News, Alleyne's killer shot several times before fleeing the scene.
The 21-year-old was rushed to a nearby hospital in a private vehicle but eventually succumbed to his injuries.
Last week police arrested and charged a man named Shawayne Dashawn Williams in connection with the murder.
Williams, 23, was not required to plead and will next appear in court on January 31.
