Though not ideal, the Barbados Bar Association is satisfied with the relocation plans for the operations of the Supreme Court.

Following a meeting with the Attorney General and other key stakeholders, it was agreed that the courts and registry would be temporarily relocated to the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre, the attorney general's headquarters in Wildey and the newly opened Cane Garden Police Complex in St Thomas.

President of the Bar Association Liesel Weekes believes the immediate plan of action is the best, given the current challenges.

By next month all court operations are expected to move to the building which once housed the CLICO corporate centre.

Ms. Weekes says the building which has been out of use for six years has been inspected, and will require some work before staff can move in.
