Kooyman breaks ground in Barbados

Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley says the 14 million US dollar investment by Dutch company, Kooyman into the island is a sign that confidence in Barbados’ economy by foreign investors continues to grow.

Kooyman Holdings broke ground at Kendal Hill, Christ Church for what will be a new drive-thru megastore with an emphasis on hardware items.

The Kooyman Megastore is expected to be completed by the first quarter of 2020, representing the Curacao based company’s first entry into the English speaking Caribbean.

Ms Mottley adds that Kooyman’s investment in Barbados also represents yet another signal that the island is fully open for business to the world.
