New May Day approach

The annual May Day celebration will this year be one with a difference.

For the first time in many years, there will be no parade of workers through the city.

Instead, the Barbados Workers Union has organised a family fun day at its Solidarity House headquarters, under the theme ‘Revive, Re-energise’.

General Secretary Senator Toni Moore stressed that the workers deserve the recognition afforded by the occasion.
Among the activities planned for the day are a flea market, kids zone, cook off and mixology competition as well as the finals of a karaoke competition and much more.

Senator Moore says the event is also intended to ensure all who attend have a good experience with the BWU family.
