A small businessman in St. Joseph is counting his losses this Easter Weekend, after thieves broke into the Cleavers Hill Supermarket in the wee hours of yesterday morning.
When CBC visited the establishment, owner Paul Roachford was busy along with workmen securing the property.
The rot iron gate was damaged and the glass front door broken.
He says the alarm was raised just after two when police alerted him to the break-in. He is still putting a price tag on what was stolen, which included alcohol, cigarettes and foodstuff.
Mr. Roachford says he had to close the business yesterday as well, which resulted in further losses.
