Shootings overnight

Police are investigating a shooting Tuesday night in a St Michael community that left two young men injured.

The incident took place at Third Avenue Mannings Land, Bank Hall about 9:20.

Police say several men travelling in a motor vehicle drove up next to a shop where the victims were outside.

The occupants reportedly got out and opened fire.

One 27 year old male receive multiple wounds about his body and is listed in critical condition in hospital.

The other victim is a 25 year old male who was injured to the left side of his head.

Police responded to another shooting incident around 9:10 last night in an area located at the rear of Christ Church Girls School at Water Street, Christ Church.

Vemar Deroy Griffith, 23 years of Number 43 Clearview Drive, Wotton, Christ Church, received a gunshot wound to his left calf by an unknown mask man.

The victim was playing a game of dominoes along with three other men when a man wearing a mask, a hat and dark clothing approached them, drew a firearm and told them not to move.

They all ran off.

As the victim turned to run, he was shot his leg.
