18 to face Quon

This year’s Pic-O-De-Crop competition will see 18 finalists trying to dethrone the reigning monarch Quon, instead of 17.

According to the National Cultural Foundation, the additional finalist is the result of a tie for 17th place. This means there will be no reserve in this year’s competition.

The finalists are Charisma, Donella, Eric Lewis, John Yarde, Niqa and Teri from the All Stars Calypso Tent; Ac, Chrystal, I-Web, Mr Blood and Natahlee from De Big Show;  Billboard, Coopa Dan, Keerah, Raanan And Raheem from House of Soca; and Bumba and Ross from Shining Stars.

The competition is slated for Friday, August 4th at the National Botanical Gardens.
