Junior Squash results

Barbados won four gold medals, two silvers and a bronze on the third and final day of the individual category of the 2019 Junior Caribbean Area Squash Association championships at the Queen’s Park cricket club in Trinidad and Tobago.

Barbados’ first gold was won by Phoebe Gittens who defeated Christiana Fernandes of Guyana 11-9; 13-11; 11-5 in the girl’s under 11 final.

In the girls under 13 category final, Eboni Atherley beat Maher Trehan of Jamaica 11-6; 11-7; 11-7.

In the girls under 19 category, the number 1 ranked Meagan Best of Barbados defeated Jade Pitcairn of Cayman at 3; 5 and love to claim her 7th singles title at junior CASA.

Also with his 7th title is the boys under 19 top seed Khamal Cumberbatch who stopped Taylor Carrick of Bermuda at 6; 1 and 5.

The Bajan silver medalists were -: Sumairaa Suleman in the girls under 15; and Darien Benn in the boys under 17 while the bronze went to Jada Smith-Padmore in the under 19 girls.
