Scotiabank to reimburse skimmed customers

Barbadians affected by the recent fraudulent debit card scam are being told they will be reimbursed.

Word of this from management of Scotiabank which indicated in a statement that they are working with affected customers to have their repayments fast tracked.

The bank gave no details as to the amount of money being reimbursed but added that it was urging “customers who suspect any fraudulent activity on their accounts to contact Scotiabank immediately.

The bank also announced that it had recently introduced alerts which allow customers to receive real-time notifications about activity on their accounts.
