Funding an issue to start businesses

Access to funding continues to be one of the biggest hindrances to starting a business in Barbados.

That’s according to Ayanna Young-Marshall, Lecturer of International Business at the University of the West Indies.

However, Ms. Young-Marshall says the government has sought to address this with its Trust Loans Programme.

And The University of the West Indies, through a partnership with CIBC First Caribbean, is also doing its part to assist its students
