Barbados will roll out the welcome mat for President of Kenya Uhuru Kenyatta who arrives on the island this afternoon on an official visit.
He will be accorded an official welcome, which includes a 21-gun salute.
President Kenyatta will be greeted by Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley; Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Senator Dr. Jerome Walcott; Minister of Information, Broadcasting and Public Affairs, Senator Lucille Moe; and other government officials.
The purpose of the official visit is to strengthen bilateral relations between Barbados and Kenya in areas of mutual interest.’
the Kenyan President and First Lady will pay a courtesy call on Governor General Dame Sandra Mason tomorrow.
The following day, he will hold bilateral talks with Prime Minister Mottley and several ministers.
