Door open for investors in the energy sector

New legislation could pave the way for investors to get a foot in the door in the energy sector.

This through the Electric Light and Power (Amendment) Bill 2019, which was debated in senate today.

Minister of Innovation, Science and Smart Technology Senator Kay Mcconney introduced the bill.

She revealed that the amendments would allow different aspects of the energy generation process to be categorised, and licensed separately.
