B.A.S upset over imports

Approximately 23 thousand kilograms of pork have been imported into Barbados over the last eight to twelve weeks.

That’s according to the Chief Executive Officer of the Barbados Agricultural Society, James Paul.

He provided the figures during a press conference at the society’s headquarters this Friday afternoon.

Mr. Paul argues the move was unnecessary as farmers have been supplying adequate quotas for the local market.
