Koffee appears On Nick Cannon Morning Show, talks Obama endorsement

Koffee has left yet another lasting impression after recently stopping by Nick Cannon’s new radio show “Nick Cannon Mornings.”

The “Toast” star recently wowed the American superstar with her aura and intelligence after appearing on his new radio show on Power106 Radio in Los Angeles.

In the 15-minute interview, the Jamaican superstar detailed her rise to fame as well as being featured on President Barack Obama’s annual Summer Playlist.

“Koffee is quiet, but her confidence speaks volumes. And it should, considering her music was added to Barack Obama’s playlist and she just opened for Daniel Caesar on Tour, all before the age of 20,” Canon posted on the radio station’s YouTube channel.

The multi-talented rapper/host went on to praise the Jamaican entertainer saying “You are truly special when it comes on to Reggae and Dancehall. You are a movement; you are a fixture.”

Obviously impressed with the “Rapture” singer’s music Canon would go on to express interest in collaborating with the star musically saying “Are you doing any features and stuff currently? Because I am asking right now because I need you on a couple a records, that’s what I’m saying.”

It seems, however, that Koffee did not take Cannon too seriously in his request, as she revealed that she hasn’t started collaborating yet, but was looking forward to working with artistes such as Burna Boy, Kendrick Lamar and French Montana.

Cannon jokingly brushed off the snub saying “You putting it out there in the Universe… you see how she just grazed over working with me; it’s just like ‘forget that: I need Burna; I need Kendrick,” to which Koffee replied laughing: “No man, this link set already, I should hope.”

The two would go on to talk about the young deejay’s inclusion on former US president Barack Obama’s summer playlist, with the star saying “It’s truly a blessing…I feel very proud because he is a figure we’ve always looked up to. As, I think, black people especially even from Jamaica. So it was a very proud moment for me.”
