Teachers call for stronger Police support

Teachers are calling for stronger support from police in issues regarding school violence.

President of the Barbados Secondary Teachers Union Mary Ann Redman says officers have been slow to act in cases involving students because they do not want to criminalize the children.

Her comment follows a BSTU meeting at Solidarity House in light of last Friday’s stabbing killing at Frederick Smith Secondary.
