As Government works to improve the operations of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Barbadians are being encouraged to embrace change.
Information Minister Senator Lucille Moe says the hospital carries the legacy of being the breeding ground for many successful medical practitioners across the region.
Senator Moe was speaking during Debate on the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Amendment Bill 2019.
She says the Hospital must change to keep up with the times and provide the type of service Barbadians require.
Government Senator Damien Sands says the previous administration was unable to address the issues plaguing the QEH.
He says the legislation before the Senate addresses the management issue lacking at the state owned facility.
Government Senator Dr Crystal Haynes says the situation at the QEH prompted the government to move with haste in remedying it.
