Michandani challenges acquisition

Attorney General Dale Marshall has acknowledged yet another legal challenge from businesswoman Ram Mirchandani regarding Government’s compulsory acquisition of the property known as the Liquidation Centre.

However, Mr. Marshall notes that Government has been fulfilling its legal obligations in the matter thus far, and that the process of clearing the site in preparation for further development will continue.

He says lawyers for Mrs. Mirchandani had filed an appeal in the high court to prevent the Government from clearing out and taking possession of the property.
