Three young men remanded

Three men have been all remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison at Dodds pending their next court appearance.

This after they all appeared in the District A Magistrates Court Thursday afternoon charged with several offences, ranging from possession of firearms and ammunition to robbery.

Police say 24 year old, Romono Anthony Drayton, of Turton Gap, Government Hill, St. Michael will reappear at the District C Magistrates court on February 17th and District D Court on the 18th as well as March 11th and 12th at the District A number one and two courts respectively.

This is in relations to a slew of charges dating back to 2018 which include serious bodily harm as well as robbing police officer, Sean Edwards, at Brandon’s Beach.

Police say 19 year old, Jakran Ta’shawn Shamar Griffith, of 1st Avenue Alleyne’s Land, Bush Hall, St Michael has been remanded until March 12th to reappear at the District A Magistrates court.

Griffith is charged with the illegal possession of a .38 revolver and five rounds of ammunition.

He is also charged with assaulting Police Sergeant 1840 Rommel Downes with a firearm during the execution of his duty.

Meanwhile, 24 year old Rico Radarrah Reneal Forde of Salters, St George has been remanded until February 19th to reappear at the District B Magistrates court and again on March 12th to reappear at the District A Court.

He is charged with having one .9mm Smith and Wesson pistol and nine rounds of ammunition, discharging a firearm in the vicinity of the Sol Service Station at Charles Rowe Bridge, St George as well as causing serious bodily harm to Shaquille Callender with intent to main, disfigure or disable him.
