Hurdle, Vernon DaCosta

Age 75, better known as “Peter” or “Ned”, of Quincy Street, Brooklyn, New York, U.S.A., formerly of Gall Hall, St. John.

Son of the late Eunice Mullin and Allder Hurdle.

Husband of Joan Hurdle of the U.S.A.

Father of Andria and Edwin Hurdle both of the U.S.A., Fabian Maughn and the late Oswald Maughn.

Grandfather of Baggio Forde, Karifer and Aykira Hurdle.

Great-Grandfather of two.

Brother of Polly Hurdle-Ashford, the late Evelyn Boxill, Edward Mullin, Eudine Inniss, Ermine Sealy, Colin, Pal, Dudley and Leo Hurdle.

Uncle of Sylvia Lashley, Gloria Boxill, Magnel Mason-Clarke, Monica Hurdle-Mason, Yvonne Hurdle, Gloria Bancroft, Alvin Boxill, Janice Mullin-Sargeant and many others.

Son-in-law of Gilespie Green.

Father-in-law of Roseann Maughn.

Relative of the Hurdle, Mullin, Boxill and Sealy families.

Friend of Bruce Lashley J.P. MBE, and many others.

A Service of Thanksgiving for the life of Vernon DaCosta Hurdle will take place on Tuesday February 25th, 2020 at 3:30 p.m. at St. John’s Parish Church, where relatives and friends are asked to meet. The cortege will then proceed to St. John’s Cemetery for the interment.  

The Organist and members of the Church Choir are asked to attend.

The body will repose for viewing on Tuesday from 2:30 p.m. until the start of the service during which time floral tributes will be gratefully accepted.

Monetary donations toward the upkeep of the Church will be appreciated.

Final arrangements are in the care and trust of: Jo-Anne Jones Funeral Services And Pre-arrangement Centre Ltd., “Clovelly”, Welches, Christ Church.
