Mottley leading caricom delegation to Guyana

Chairman of CARICOM and Barbados’ Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley will lead a delegation of regional Prime Ministers to Guyana today, Wednesday, on a special two-day mission.

This is according to Press Secretary to the Prime Minister, Roy Morris.

He says Ms. Mottley will be joined by Prime Ministers Roosevelt Skerrit of Dominica, Ralph Gonsalves of St Vincent and the Grenadines and Keith Mitchell of Grenada.

Mr. Morris says in an effort to ease tension in Guyana and assist in arriving at a resolution to the election’s impasse the delegation will meet with the leadership of all parties that contested the poll.

Additionally, he says the CARICOM heads will meet with representatives of the Commonwealth, Organisation of American States, European Union and Carter Centre observer missions who are in the country to monitor the elections.
