Bridgetown port steps up plan to combat virus

Sensitization sessions on the coronavirus are being conducted with front line workers updating them on Barbados Covid-19 protocols.

Over at the Bridgetown Port, senior port and health and cruise officials were on hand disseminating key vital information and hearing the concerns of workers, including port taxi workers first hand.

Concerns raised by some port workers included interacting with home porting passengers and baggage.

Port officials stressed on the importance of good hygiene in the fight against corona.

The sensitization sessions have the support of the Barbados Workers Union.
