Prime Minister safe in Guyana

Barbados Ministry of Health is keeping abreast with coronavirus developments in the Caribbean.

Given news of Guyana’s first case that resulted in death Acting Chief Medical Officer, Dr Anton Best tells CBC NEWS the case is being treated as sporadic and not an outbreak there.

As such, Barbados Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley and other Caribbean leaders in Georgetown on a special two-day mission aimed at arriving at a resolution to the general elections impasse would not have to undergo quarantine measures.
