CDEMA concerned about hurricane preparedness

Fears that region may not be able to adequately respond to the threats posed by the upcoming hurricane season as resources are being used to contain the spread of Covid-19.

The Barbados based Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency says it’s working on pandemic planning exercises to improve preparations.

Executive Director, Ronald Jackson says emergency services are already stretched and its likely there will be a short supply of equipment and emergency responders impacted.
