Food has been the greatest for people seeking help through the Barbados Vulnerable Family Survival Programme.
Word of this from special advisor to the Prime Minister on Poverty Alleviation and Head of the Household Mitigation Unit, Corey Lane.
He says some people reaching out for assistance have indicated they had not eaten for days.
Mr. Lane says there have been over ten thousand calls but he says when assessments are done , some are people requesting assistance with car payments.
He’s however stressing the programme will be prioritising the most vulnerable.
