As Barbados prepares to restart its villa market, a set of health and safety protocols are being put in place for the hotel and tourism sector.
Minister of Tourism and International Transport, Kerrie Symmonds says the villa market is safer because it involves smaller numbers of people.
There’s also no need to formally recommence commercial air traffic because guests could fly in on private jets.
However he says there must be protocols to protect employees of that sector.
Minister Symmonds says the way how people dine out at restaurants is also being revisited including the likelihood of having buffets going forward.
