Barbadian children in state care as well as those in public schools are now better equipped to face the covid-19 pandemic.
This has been made so thanks to a timely collaborative donation by USAID Eastern and Southern Caribbean mission and the UNICEF office for the Eastern Caribbean area.
The handover of needed infection control supplies was made Monday afternoon at the Ministry of People Empowerment and Elder Affairs.
Minister Cynthia Forde says the initiative will institute measures that will help sensitize parents and guardians about covid-19.
The Child Care Board and the Government Industrial Schools are beneficiaries of the donation and G.I.S deputy principal Ronald Brathwaite says he is grateful schools were included.
