Age 72, affectionately known as “Sissy”, of Enterprise Main Road, Christ Church, formerly of Carter’s Gap, Christ Church and Gemswick, St. Philip, Fish Vendor of Berinda Cox Fish Market, Member of Mount Moriah Spiritual Baptist Church, Breedy’s Land, Christ Church.

Daughter of the late Desmond and Thelma Callender.

Wife of Evans Hunte.

Mother of Janet Lampitt, Sandra, Suzette, Sean, Troy and Sharmaine Callender.

Grandmother of Shantelle Lampitt, Dwayne, Lenora, Dionte’, Selina Callender, Shontelle Nurse and eleven others.

Great-grandmother of nine.

Sister of Levi and John Callender, Wendy Codrington, Leila Knight, Patrick Brathwaite, Jason Atherley, the late Doriel Callender and Darrell Brathwaite.

Aunt of Arlette Knight-Olton, Keshia and Shondell Callender, Jacqueline Lee-Davis, Sylvia Clarke, Andrew Yarde, Ryan Marshall and seventeen others.

Niece of the late Irene, Patricia, Winston, Adolphus Callender and Ersula Springer.

Relative of the Callender, Brathwaite, Best, Weekes and Rowe families.

The funeral of Rita Linnell Hunte Nee Callender leaves C. H. Best Funeral Home, St. Martin, St. Philip on Saturday, July 18th, 2020 for the Berinda Cox Fish Market, Oistins, Christ Church, where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 1:30 p.m. for a Service of Thanksgiving and Praise. The Cortege will then proceed to the Christ Church Cemetery for the Interment

Floral tributes may be sent to C. H. Best Funeral Home no later than 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. 

Viewing of the body will take place at the Berinda Cox Fish Market, Oistins, Christ Church from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
