Barbados Welcome Stamp programme continues to gain popularity as Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley reveals just about 400 people are already on island.
The update was provided during the Clinton Global Initiative’s Building Back Greener: Renewable Energy and Sustainable Tourism session moderated by former U.S President Bill Clinton.
Government has approved about 1-thousand-150 of the 1-thousand-400 applications made.
Ms Mottley says the programme is doing well.
Prime Minister Mottley updated the forum on the island’s efforts at tackling the Covid-19 pandemic, admitting it has been rough for Barbados as it balanced lives and livelihoods.
