BHTA head supports measure against quarantine breakers

The Barbados Hotel and Tourism Association supports bringing the full weight of the law against any person who breaks quarantine.

As result Chairman, Geoffrey Roach, says they have welcomed the establishment of the Rapid Response Unit which will allow for a swift response from the relevant authorities, so that the necessary action can be taken.

Mr. Roach says the BHTA is continuing to work closely with all agencies as the government continues to intensify its efforts to bring the current COVID-19 situation

He says as the crisis continues to evolve officials recognize the importance of continually reviewing and adjusting the protocols and processes to assist in the fight.

But he is also asking for more support from the enforcement agencies.
