Female staffers here at the Caribbean Broadcasting Corporation did their part to celebrate International Women’s Day on Wednesday, striking the embrace equity pose to show their support.
Many were dressed in the traditional colours to mark the day – green for hope, purple for dignity and justice, or white for purity.
Proud, happy, and strong were just some of the words they associated with being a woman.
Accounts receivables clerk, Zelma Daisley, wants people and in particular young women, to respect themselves more.
Accounts executive Billie-June Langdon, had some advice for women and girls.
