The link between chronic pelvic pain and mental health issues will be in the spotlight as Barbados observes Endometriosis Awareness Month in March.
So says co-founder of the Barbados Association of Endometriosis and PCOS, Julia Mandeville.
Speaking on CBC TV 8’s Mornin’ Barbados, she explained endometriosis is a chronic condition in women, where endometrial tissue grows outside the uterus.
According to Ms Mandeville, chronic pelvic pain is one of the most common symptoms of the condition.
