Over 700 children were feted on Boxing Day as the Fishers of Men Charity’s Christmas Party returned after a two-year hiatus.
Founder, Sharon Bellamy-Thompson, says while they had initially catered for 500 children, the additional children were not an issue.
The event under the theme “Suffer the Little Children Not”, was held at Green Acres in the Belle, St. Michael, which was donated to the cause.
Speaking to CBC News today, Ms Bellamy-Thompson says this year’s party was particularly special, given the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
