Barbadians are still beaming with pride today, following both a stellar performance from National Hero and Grammy Award winner, the Right Excellent Robyn Rihanna Fenty and a surprise announcement that she is expecting another child.
The international star took fans down memory lane to some of her biggest hits, during the half time show at the Super Bowl at Arizona’s State Farm Stadium.
CBC videographer Christopher Wood was at one of the many watch parties last night and took in some fan reactions to the performance ad the announcement.
The National Sports Council hosted a Watch Party at the Garfield Sobers Gymnasium and attracted hundreds of fans.
Sports Minister Charles Griffith was also in attendance and he was pleased with the turnout.
Meanwhile, marketing and communications officer with the National Sports Council, Roberta Dowell, says they were happy with the response from the public.
Member of Parliament for St. Michael Central, Marshall Caddle, also took in the action and shared her views.
