A night of dramatic performance is on at the Daphne Joseph-Hackett Theatre in Queen’s Park, Bridgetown tonight in the Weekend of Theatre.
It is the last of three days of exciting National Independence Festival of Creative Arts (NIFCA) theatrical entertainment, and Cultural Officer, Renee Taylor at the National Cultural Foundation says the stage is set and performers are ready.
Thursday and Friday were the first two nights of Weekend of Theatre when Spoken Word and Total Theatre were the highlights ahead of tonight’s spotlight on Drama from 6:00 p.m.
The entire Weekend of Theatre feature stalwarts such as Winston Farrell, Victor Clifford and Yolanda Holder, and growing artists like Cyndi Celeste, Wayne ‘Butter Skillet’ Harewood, Akeem Chandler-Prescod, Janine White, Dancing Africa, Gentle Steps Academy, and Sonia Williams.
“It’s a little bit of something for everybody,” says Taylor.
