A total of 103 people (46 males and 57 females) were diagnosed with COVID-19 on Thursday, December 9th, from among the 1,292 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory.

The new cases comprise 19 people under the age of 18, and 84 who are 18 years and older.

The number of patients in isolation facilities was 296, while 1,866 were in home isolation.

The public health laboratory has carried out 448,856 tests since February last year, and recorded 26,668 cases (12,698 males and 13,970 females) of COVID-19.

Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, the total number of individuals with at least one dose is 154,334 (67.6 per cent of the eligible population). The total number of people who are fully vaccinated is 139,285 (51.4 per cent of the total population or 61 per cent of the eligible population).

The eligible population represents those 12 years and older.
