198 people (96 males and 102 females) tested positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday, December 1st.
The Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory conducted 1,827 tests.
Of the new cases, 49 people are under the age of 18, and 149 are 18 years and older.
A total of 394 people were in isolation facilities, and 2,370 were in home isolation.
The public health lab has carried out 439,135 tests since February last year, and recorded 25,627 cases (12,215 males and 13,412 females) of COVID-19.
Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, the total number of people with at least one dose is 153,670 (67.3 per cent of the eligible population).
The total number of people who are fully vaccinated is 136,988 (50.5 per cent of the total population or 60 per cent of the eligible population).
The eligible population represents those 12 years and older.
