Police have identified the man shot dead in St. James on Friday night as 33-year-old Ramon Tyrone Archer.
According to Police Communications and Public Affairs Officer Inspector Rodney Inniss, the deceased was a resident of Crab Hill, St. Lucy and was killed at Risk Road, Fitts Village about 7:00 p.m.
Archer was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel after residents in the area reported hearing several gunshots and he was discovered laying on the ground.
Police investigations are ongoing into the unnatural death, which is Barbados’ first murder for 2023.
