2 injured in Bonnetts shooting

2 people are nursing injuries following a shooting in Bonnetts, Brittons Hill, St. Michael last night.

Police say reports of the incident were received around 7:55, stating that gunshots were heard in the area.

On responding, they learnt that a motorcyclist and his pillion passenger were travelling along Bonnetts towards Brittons New Road, when they encountered a car travelling in the opposite direction. Gunshots were reportedly fired from the car, resulting in injuries to the motorcyclist and a female bystander.

The motorcyclist was transported to QEH by ambulance, and the female bystander by private vehicle.

A car was also damaged in the incident.

Investigations are continuing into this matter, and Police have asked anyone who can provide any information to assist, to call the Hastings/Worthing Police Station at 430-7608, Police Emergency at 211, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIPS (8477) or the nearest Police Station.
