The numbers aren’t in just yet, but the 2021 Hero Caribbean Premier League has surpassed last year’s edition in nearly all categories.

That assessment from Chief Executive Officer of the tournament Pete Russell.

In an exclusive interview with CBC Sports, Russell said the host venue Warner Park saw 33 matches contested over 16 days and it was fitting that the St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots eventually lifted the trophy.

The tournament was rescheduled, starting on August 25th and ending on September 15th, making room for the IPL season to be completed.
