A total of 280 new COVID-19 cases (122 males and 158 females) were recorded from the 1,058 tests carried out on Monday, August 22nd, by laboratories across the island.

The cases consist of 46 people under the age of 18, and 234 who are 18 years and older.

There were 73 people in isolation facilities, while 2,270 were in home isolation.

The laboratories conducted 750,225 tests since February 2020, and recorded 99,970 COVID-19 cases (45,180 males and 54,790 females).

Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, the total number of people with at least one dose is 163,136 (71.4 per cent of the eligible population). The total number of fully vaccinated people is 154,285 (56.9 per cent of the total population or 67.5 per cent of the eligible population).
