The Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory identified 534 new COVID-19 cases (221 males and 313 females) from the 1,229 tests carried out on Thursday, August 4th.
The cases comprise 91 people under the age of 18, and 443 who are 18 years and older.
There were 67 people in isolation facilities, while 3,042 were in home isolation.
The public health laboratory has conducted 733,098 tests since February 2020, and recorded 94,093 COVID-19 cases (42,739 males and 51,354 females).
Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, the total number of people with at least one dose is 162,974 (71.4 per cent of the eligible population). The total number of fully vaccinated people is 154,055 (56.8 per cent of the total population or 67.5 per cent of the eligible population).
